This course is suitable for Healthcare professionals. This course is designed to provide you with a level of knowledge required to care for your patients with respiratory symptoms in line with the Northern Ireland Respiratory Health and Well Being Service Framework Document, which has set standards of delivery of care to all aspects of respiratory disease and in particular accurate diagnosis with technically acceptable and reproducible spirometry.
The Aims of the course:
The OCN NI accredited Level 5 spirometry course aims to equip the learner with the necessary skills, knowledge and expertise to care for and maintain your spirometer, prepare the patient and equipment enabling consistently accurate spirometry results to be obtained, and become proficient and competent in the interpretation of the results in line with the most up to date evidence-based guidelines.

Spirometry (ARTP) course is designed to enhance and standardise the quality of spirometry services across all healthcare settings in line with the Association for Respiratory Technology and Physiology (ARTP) (2024)
Each option will discussed in full on Day 1of the course. Three compulsory study days for either course chosen. Once the full training has been successfully completed the student can then decide which accrediting body they wish to register with (fees apply for each option chosen).

Each study day will begin at 10.00 am and ideally finish 4.15 pm.
Tea/Coffee/scones will be provided for mid morning break. Lunch maybe purchased or bring your own pack lunch.
